The Capital Campaign is to help improve our facilities. The Caring Center has received a $50,000 challenge grant from the Nonprofit Finance Fund to soundproof the classrooms on our second floor, which must be matched by $50,000 in private donations, for a total of $100,000 to undertake the renovations. By donating to this Campaign you will make a huge difference in the lives of 145 children who are learning in a safe and healthy environment that fosters their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth. Currently, our facilities include a large outdoor play area, a full-service commercial kitchen, central air-conditioning, bubble windows with spectacular views of the city, and child-scaled furnishings. However, the lack of soundproofing between classrooms has presented challenges for The Caring Center in meeting the highest quality indicators of the National Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS-R). Over the past two years, The Caring Center has not improved scores in the Indoor Space indicator because the building’s sound absorbing partitions do not meet current standards. To maintain accreditation and to create the most conducive learning environment, we plan to address sound/space issues by renovating our classroom walls. The Nonprofit Finance Fund has granted The Caring Center a $50,000 challenge but we need your help to meet the challenge. Please consider sharing the name of your employer if they have an employee match program. There is still time to make a contribution to this Campaign. Contribution forms are available at the front desk. You can also contribute online using a credit card. To do so, click the link below.
