The Caring Center was designed and built as a day care/educational facility. Considerable attention was paid to the special needs of infants and small children. Designed by the Philadelphia firm Friday Architects & Planners, the Center is featured in a recently published book about Philadelphia's most architecturally significant buildings. The site, at 3101 Spring Garden Street--just across the Spring Garden Street Bridge from the Philadelphia Art Museum (seen to the right of The Caring Center in the above photo)--is two minutes from Center City and only 100 yards from the I-76 exit/entrance ramps.
